Actually, Norouz is the traditional Iranian New Year, which I would expect you to know. However, it is also celebrated all over the Middle East, west Asia and eastern Europe. It is also the new year celebration of the Baha'i faith, among other religions. Which is, sadly, why I know all this: my dad's a baha'i and used to make me go to all the festivals and stuff.
if the persian empire actually fought in the outfits depicted in that picture, they must have won all of their battles by killing the enemies incapacitated by laughter....
