thats how lie detectors work, if you are hooked up to one they will ask you several questions that are very very close to the same in order to determine if they are correct, since some questions can be a little misleading to a person, such as things like "in your opinion" questions, so what they do is they narrow it down, like one question might be have you ever been unfaithful to your husband, and the person could have a very different opinion of what that means then someone else, like maybe they lied to them, so the lie detector will give a less sure response, so they will narrow it down with following questions to make sure the answers validate eachother.

No I know they are told when to appulad, when to laugh, when to do everything and it's fucking annoying. I would love to watch a show without all the extra shit. Laugh tracks are the worst, when they dub over a show that isn't taped in front of an audience. The only people that need laugh tracks are people who aren't funny.
It's all mind tricks. Something you only find moderately funny might make you smile, but when people around you laugh you are more inclined to join in. That wasy it makes things seem funnier. After a show is over you'll remember it made you laugh but not necessarily that it made you smile. Thereby making you tune in next week because you remember a show making you laugh. It's not true in all cases but that's why they do it. Laugh tracks improve ratings, sad but true.
