Macs are how should I put this... better for art ie- graphic design-photoshop, shit like that. PC is better for office shit, numbers and accounting, shit like that.

Fro mpersonal experience I'd say Macs were better able to handle the recording software I use (In this case, Pro Tools, which I know is mainly for Macs anyway, but it's far better than Cubase is for Windows). But for general every day use I prefer to use my IBM Platform based PC. If you want my opinion, both are ultimately shit. And both are ultimately great. There, my reply was about as pointless as everyone elses in this thread, my work is now done.
from experience of using bootcamp on a mac, it still kinda sucks for gaming... just my thoughts, I just finished building my first computer and i run XP on it and its amazing compared to my Mac...

From personal experience... (I've built over 75 computers in the last 6th months alone, and it would be much more if not for a girlfriends computer which gave me trouble forever..) I have found that all OSs have their ups and downs.
With what I enjoy in a computer, Mac operating systems blow more cock than Stallan can fit in his ass, which bert and swiss, tell me is allot...
Linux is nice, but its not for nubs. I run XP on machines I use for whatever, and with a cracked version of Sygate personal firewall, I have yet to find a virus problem. Also, I get 2000 and XP for free basically, because I'm a licensed Microsoft computer refurbisher... When I'm working, I like to use Ubuntu, cause its free also.
As for Mac's being better equipped for artistic stuff...bullshit. Find yourself an Adobe Suite crack, or whatever the package is called, if your a noob, pay the couple grand for it. I never run into a problem with photoshop cs3, or any of the other programs it came with.
I will talk all the shit I want about Macs, because I can back it up. fuck you nubs..

Not likely. Macs don't even have their own Apple-exclusive word processor; they use Microsoft Word. I doubt they're going to "RULE" any time soon.

I have a Zune (80GB 2nd gen) and have never had a problem with it or its software. They're all just fucking portable hard-drives that play music, picture, and video files; nothing more. Beats carrying around a case of fucking CDs.
Get yourself one of the old ass Sony Mp3s, the ones that store 50GBs and look like fucking hard drives with buttons... easy to transfer, and nobody will steal it.

soon you'll be able to run windows in a virtual server (non emulated) with how fast computers are becoming and how well virtualization is getting.... so you can just play your games on windows running osx ;/
Computers running faster have nothing to do with it. Wasting compute resources with poorly written code is never the answer. The biggest issue is coming up with programs that will allow the end user to more easily run applications meant for one platform on another like Wine v1.0.0. This stuff takes forever to come out not that I can complain since I am not really contributing to the development process.
It will be a while before anything faster comes out, due to not many people being able to afford pouring liquid nitrogen directly onto their processors. However, shit will become more and more available, and fucking idiots like most of the people around here, with the exception of Yak, will become so dependent of their computers that someone will take the internet hostage.
