They do not bankroll candidates, and therefore have no role in deciding who gets enough media attention to be any sort of contender. They also do not lobby or buy off politicians in any way. A corporation is not considered to have the legal status of a person. No one from big business ever moves over into a role in the federal government, in, say, an agency such as the FDA or CPSC. Private contractors rake in massive amounts of money, often in no-bid contracts where billions of taxpayer dollars get lost, but they do so in a very legitimate manner. There is no man behind the curtain. Hey, El_Wanko, I have bad news: Those blue pills you took one after the other weren't fucking Viagra.
