Nah, the bouncing bomb was invent to bounce on water, in order to take out the submarine base at Lazaire (I think it was there, at least). Any uses afterward were just luck.
Actually, the bouncing bomb was invented to take out major dams in Germanys industrial Ruhr Valley before then going on to be used as an anti-shipping bomb.

oh yeah I new I forgot something..The Nazis were trying to make an atomic bomb & a heavy water plant in Norway was attacked a few times by Norwegian resistance trained & accompanied by the British Special Operations Executive.
After these attacks & when the plant was repaired the USAF attempted to bomb the plant (Americans being Americans never actually hit the place) but the nazis decided to ship the heavy water on a ferry which the Norwegian resistance plnted a bomb & blew the ferry to pieces.

Hey, I submitted this yesterday.
I used to have this movie on vhs dubbed in english. It was a very intense movie. I haven't been able to find another copy of it on the internet, but if you guys find it, you should get it, its a good gorish movie. And its a true story!!. The story was based on the kid that picked up the rock when the bomb dropped.
