That reminds me of a guy I went to high school with. He lived in the middle of farmtown, usa and had a three legged cat and a dog that survived being shot in the head with a shotgun. The dog lost most of his motor skills and had to run into walls to stop running. He used to fuck with it by calling it over and the poor thing could only run around him in circles.

A lot of people ask me how he lost his leg. He ran off one day for about 3 days. He finnaly came home and half of his leg was gone. I have no idea what happened. It may have been a dog or animal trap The vet said that it would just be in his way so it would be best to take the rest off at the hip. He also said it would be a good idea to go ahead and neuter him while hes asleep. Poor lil fella lost a leg and 2 balls the same day :(

Not impossible. One of our cats fetches. He's got this little rubber heart that's like crack to him. He'll play fetch nonstop. When you want to quit he'll do this coughing thing at you like he's trying to bark or something. It's weird.
Our other cat just sits and stares at you if you try to make him fetch with this look on his face like,"What?"

SBD how did you teach it to fetch? Or did you realize it liked doing it and required no training?
The key is to find a toy that they like to carry around. I have taught 3 cats to fetch. One cat liked a wadded up paper ball and that was the only object she would fetch. She would come running when she heard the sound of paper being wadded up. When she had the toy in her mouth I would get her attention and have her come to me. After a while she knew if she brought it to me, she would be rewarded with a treat. Like hector said above, its all in finding a toy that they really enjoy.
I see, well I guess it's time to start training!

Cool cat dude! Seems to be very happy and as you said doesn't seem to really bother him or slow him down. How did he lose his leg? Looks super friendly regardless of his misfortune though.
He is a great cat and very happy. I have to scratch his neck for him sometimes since he cant do it himself. He will flick his nub trying to scratch himself. Other than that he has a pretty good life. I'm not sure how he lost his leg. I posted my idea about it a few posts up.
