God help me I was raised in christens schools. Iâve read the Bible cover to cover, something a lot of christens I donât think have ever done. Itâs an interesting book. Do I believe everything in it? Hell no. It gives a good basic plan for life no matter who you are or what your religious beliefs are in these few ideas. Be a good person. Help others less fortunate than you. Donât kill anyone, donât steal anything, ect. When it comes right down to it, treat other people with respect like the way you want to be treated.
That being said, some of the worst people I knew clamed to be christen. Bigots, homophobes, lyres, wife beaters, thiefâs ect ect ect. They beat their chest and claimed to be Good Christians when in fact they were miserable excuses of human beings.
All religions no matter what part of the world they come from offer beauty and hope. Itâs the people who clam to believe in them that taint them. Islam is a beautiful religion, but itâs been commandeered by a group of radicals that have tainted it in the eyes of the world. Christianity has fallen to a similar group. These groups have taken these religions hostage and twisted them to fit their narrow worldview. Itâs the extremist who ruins it for everyone.
Now Iâm not saying ALL Christians or Muslims are bad. Iâve known plenty from both sides that have been good people. I have a problem with anyone who claims the spiritual high ground and tries to force their beliefs on me. I donât think thereâs a right or wrong religion in the world. I think at their core, theyâre all the same thing; people just call them by different names.
My exception to that is Scientology, which I think is a bullshit religion invented to screw people out of their money. Having said that, I think if people find some measure of peace in it, good for them. Just donât expect me to believe in it.
The two main groups of people I hate the most are:
1) People who believe in God for retarded reasons.
2) People who are atheist for retarded reasons.
And I can't stand people who say they believe in God, but only believe the passages they want to believe. If you go to church on Sundays, you had better disapprove of your gay neighbor's lifestyle. You're essentially following your own religion when you go, "Homosexuals are people, too. We should love and embrace them."
Oh, and as for Scientology, I don't know anything about it besides what I read a couple years ago. Space aliens came many, many years ago and put humans on Earth. They brainwashed them into believing there is a God and a Devil. And the more money you donate, the higher chance you have of getting a "pod" for your soul after you die. I don't know about what they believe in terms of morality and ethics. But I don't see why it's singled out by people who think that Christianity and other religions are complete bullshit.
