Vanhoories, Deism and Atheism aren't the same thing. Deism means that God created the universe, but then stopped giving a shit and let nature run its course, and doesn't play a role in everyday life. There's still many deists today.

Actually this country was FAR more religious and intolerant towards non Protestant Christians and especially Pagans, Muslims, Catholics, Muslims, Agnostics and Atheists. People make it sound like our history was secular humanism and we all of the sudden âgot religionâ in the last few years.

The state does business with all types of organizations, some have religious overtones, some are completely secular. Most Western Democracies work this way, involving the Church, Temple, Mosque or fucking tee pee for that matter into community services is one of the few good points of organized religion.

And submitting to the government and anarchy are not the only two choices. We have a great set of laws, real laws, that comprise common law. That's the law of the land, from before the government became nothing more than a corporation with intricate contracts with the millions of corporations representing us.
What is wrong with following the constitution and common law, rather than the bullshit we have now? Why do we have so many people in prison? You should only be in prison if you're out there to hurt someone, not if you're smoking a joint or giving a whore $20 for a blowjob. If anything, the constitution and common law are much more in keeping with the bible, then the shit they've been replaced with.
There's no need for government in every aspect of our lives. The government was supposed to serve the people, not the other way around. It's not better this way.

You'd think that at least one person would see him cure a blind man and then rush home to write about it in his diary. On top of that, Jesus left no writings of his own. So either he didn't exist, or he was illiterate. And the son of God being illiterate is certainly something to think about.
