Ben Folds is a great musician....not a big fan....but he gets my respect...his work with William Shatner was great!
Indeed. The guitar section reminded me of an orchestra playing in unison, though here would be the alternative orchestra.

Yeah, pretty much the man in black. I've got the whole series (and two copies of #7, for some reason).
Honestly, I love that series. It's probably the best he's ever written.
I'd type out the whole shooting lesson/mantra, but I don't feel inclined.
