What exact data do you have that the EADS plane is any better? Did you review the bids? Secondly, the contract went to Northrup Grumman, which will sub to EADS/Airbus. Northrup will provide the refuelling technology, just not the airframe. They could have easily done the same thing with a Boeing plane. Get your facts straight.
Oh and before you start, yes, Boeing did fuckup the first time, so it serves them right to lose this one.

Depending where you look the story is usually a little different, i.e. who is the major contractor/ partners/ subcontractors, EADS or Northrup. Although the general consensus is that Northrup will have over 50%. So Ill take your word for that one.
