OMG!!! where is the ground pin!!! that wouldn't kill you anyways... Europeans and their 220 volts, less amperage, and its not even across the heart. just an easy way to pull a Stranger when you are by yourself.

less amps? isnt amperage determined by the load?

idiot voltage kills people not amp, havent you seen the movies they torture ppl with electricity and turn up the voltage? well ive seen in person and i know its voltage not amp,

    • Victorious
      Victorious 2007-05-10T11:03:35Z says:

actually, it IS the amps that kill you. electric fences(for livestock) usually have a voltage of 2000 flowing through it, but a very low amperage. U=IxR.

    • danny-xbox
      danny-xbox 2007-05-10T14:38:09Z says:

Victorious is right! except its V=IR or E=IR (Voltage, or Electromotive force, equals Current (amperage) times resistance (in ohms)Mathematics is never wrong... unless its an idiot that's using it! theoretically amperage is determined by the load, but as resistance is increased, voltage is increased and amperage is increased. police stun gun tazer thingys, are around 50,000 volts, but it has an extremely low amperage, thus making it a non-lethal (for the most part) device. and inversely when you increase the voltage, the amperage drops (just like the europeans) and the reason for them using 220 volts is that you don't need as thick of a gauge of wire to carry a smaller current (amps), therefore they can save money by using less amounts of copper wire (that shits expensive!) and use it on their ac generators to throw out 220v! *trivial note: we us 60hZ ac generators in the US and pretty much everyone else uses 50hZ ac generators. (bigger quadrature windings!!!) for the record

damn eyeranian... you just contradicted yourself and showed yourself as an idiot.

1.) movies are fake... unless they're not
2.) they TORTURE, not KILL, the person by increasing the voltage.
3.) and what, you counted how many coulombs per second to determine whether or not there was a voltage increase?

    • Victorious
      Victorious 2007-05-10T15:28:54Z says:

it was taught to me as U=IxR, with U=voltage(or literally translated from dutch; tension), I=current and R=resistance. it's the same nevertheless.

Oh no you fucking don't. All the Western European countries supposedly use the same 2 or 3 pins in a straight line. But no. I get there and I'm told that my power adaptor doesn't fit in an outlet in Italy because the design is based off a German outlet. So I have to use a German to Italian converter just to get my Australian to supposed European adapter to fit.

Either the pins are slightly spaced differently or are a different thickness or there's a slight rectangular indentation on the outlet which the plug doesn't have so it doesn't go in enough or there's a small key protruding from the edge of the plug without a corresponding notch in the outlet.

Surely this is against the common market, where's the ECJ case? I can sort of understand now why they sell that stuff in the picture. If it would only fit the right fucking plug though!
