ya tired guy phil collins...if u know anything about music you would know that phil collins is right up there with the best...regardless of what u think of his shitty solo music
If you honestly believe he never practiced outside of performing, you're naive as hell. But yeah, without him, we wouldn't have other guys slamming the hell out of drums today. That makes sense. I admit it was entertaining...at least the 1% of the time he wasn't on the snare.
I was at a Santana show a few years ago, and he had this old drummer friend of his play a few. The fat bastard did a 3 minute drum roll on the bass drum, using the foot pedal. Pretty damn impressive.
Gene Krupa pretty much invented the rack tom as it is. Buddy Rich is still master of the arts. But banging on the bongos seems to sound boring after the first few minutes.
Comments to Buddy Rich giving it loads.
Well he's obviously been shooting up reefer. Otherwise Jerry would have shredded him.
Lets see Max Weinburg do that.
I wonder who will be the first to say Neil Pert is better....
it wont take long
you know you want to say it nova.
once u get as good as guys like buddy rich ..neil peart...phil collins, etc its pointless arguing about whose better
Yeah, no point even making an attempt to compare the greats. That's why they're the greats.
Phil Collins?
screw phill collins. danny carey>him.

www.drummersworld.com
I believe has videos of all the greats....even the ones you have never heard of.
And Buddy Rich was fucking insane...
Especially with NO training...
Especially considering the time...
And not to forget that he never practiced...
If it was not for him ...and Krupa and the others...
We would not have what we do today...
Always give props to the old school.

dude he could do more just on a snare than 99percent of the douches around now with a neil peart set
