Remember we have the OPEC crisis, stagflation which arguably picked up steam during the time of Johnson and finally Volcker was appointed as Fed chairman who essentially went after inflation as you would when popping a large zit by putting the brakes on the money supply.
Then we have Reagan who enjoyed the end of the OPEC crisis, the fruits of targeting monetary aggregates to kill inflation at the cost of a recession, therefore a subsequent relaxation of the money supply which created economic stimulus and a good chunk of initially unpopular deregulation undertaken by Carter. Reagan simply topped it off with tax cuts and didn't trade it off with enough budget cuts that he managed to push the government into such a deep deficit, that another crude tug on the money supply was needed from Volcker which created another recession.
Economically speaking the two seemed to have worked with what they inherited. Tell me which one you think did more of the hard yards?

I don't think I know a big enough number of administrations well enough to form an opinion like that. A lot of shit blew up in his face and he probably <should> have handled it better. I honestly do not have the knowledge to catalogue every problem he suffered and apportion blame to each incident. My assertion based on what I do know is that everything that went bad didn't necessarily start with him just as not everything inherited after him was terrible either.

That would be because the American system of lawsuits favours the plaintiff to a ridiculous degree to the point where big corporations and governments must keep a stock of "fuck off" money to save having to go through the whole court process even if there's no way they should be in the wrong.

Hear Hear Chairman!! I might not agreee wholheartedly with you on the carter issue but we are eye to eye on this one. I've been fucked twice by the civil court system, not because I did anything wrong, but because I was up against big money and they had the ability to outspend me.
Other problems include no win, no fee plaintiff attorneys which provides a one-way bet for the most ridiculous claims. At the same time even if the defendant wins, the plaintiff is not required to pay legal costs for the defendant. The main danger of sticking with the court case as a defendant is not so much the damages but whatever crazy amount a jury thinks is fair in punitive damages.
Thats a long and boring story pleep. Suffice it to say that in this system you can be sued for no reason at all and end up paying thousands to defend yourself before it even gets to a decision, of which 20% of the time will be against you even if you are in the right 100%. If you want to try and win the case in court, you will have to finance the entire procedure which could be in the six figures. Then if you do win, good luck trying to collect those attorney's fees. Depending on how much money you have, you might go bankrupt in the meantime and totally fuck your life up. Faced with this possibility, its usually best to settle, even though you were 100% in the right (great for your emotional well being). Then, of course, you have to pay the setlement and all of your attorney fees.
So, if you piss off a dude or company with tons of dough, they'll just sue you, then make motion after motion bleeding you of any money you might have. They could do it just to get you to settle with them or just to fuck your life up.

My governemnt allows the illegals to go to school for free, go to our hospitals for free, work for companies that fear no recourse, and give automatic citizenshp to their babies born here thus providing their parents a loophole to stay here legitmately.

The reason the US has a lot of illegals is not because they do the jobs Americans don't want, it's because they do the jobs Americans don't want to do for what they pay for those jobs. Start locking up the employers of the illegals and take away their assets, then you'll see those jobs starting to pay more and you'll see Americans doing those jobs.
