I don't think Carlin would have quit even if there was no HBO or big corp. He would have toured clubs, period because he loved to entertain. Lars it's pretty easy to hate religion when you stand back and look at all religious history. Christianity, Islam, Catholics, they all at one point have made Hitler look like a toddler giving indian burns on the playground.
My point hisa was not that he would not have played in smaller clubs but he drones on and on about how evil the corporations are but he didnt mind cashing checks from them.
