    Why not take a look at just what happened around the world on January 9/10/11 and remember astronomy is typically filler for most media outlets. Air strike in Somalia, Tigger beats up a kid, a new plan for Iraq, etc. Your beloved news channel already had enough material to string out for 36 hours at a time.
