I still want to find an original copy of the AD&D book of Deities and Demigods, which had descriptions of creatures from Cthulhu. It got revised due to copyright enfringement, and came out later as Legends & Lore.

cthulhu is one of the "outer gods" based on scifi/horror writer hp lovecraft, who is pretty much up there with edgar allen poe when it comes to writing horror, if you read a book written by a horror writer in the past 20 or 30 years, most likely its a stolen concept from hp lovecraft or poe...
if you've ever heard of 'the necronomicon'? bound in human flesh and stuff? its used in tons of movies/books.. well hp lovecraft made that up, thats what all of his stories are basically about, the necronomicon is pretty much the mythos of all of cthulhu.. there are people who actually think that the things he wrote are real.. thats the best part about it, most people have actually heard of 'the necronomicon' but think that its actually the book of the dead and is real... i think if hp lovecraft was still alive he would get a real kick out of that ;)
You're probably right, yak, but I remember from being a teenager, checking that AD&D book out, and perusing the freakiest looking critters I ever saw, and it was listed as parts of the Call of Cthuhlu. I've heard about 8 different stories about what the book of the dead was supposed to be about, and I don't really care what it was SUPPOSED to be, I thought the necronomicon was a pretty cool concept. I saw a replica at a store years back and wished I had the money to buy it then. It'd be great to show off to those bible thumpers that like to try to get me to go to church.

i went to my parents and then to toronto to visit a friend with a stop on the way back at my parents again. it was a nice break :)
