  Moral issues aside, the meat and eggs from chickens raised this way is basically shit. They taste like crap compared to the real thing. That's why if you get the cheapest chicken in the store and try to just eat it, it's no good, you gotta cover it with shit like KFC does to give it taste. Get a real chicken from a farm that hasn't been force-fed antibiotics to keep it from getting sick while I crawled around in shit and dead chickens for it's 2 month life and you'll see how it's supposed to taste.

    Anyway these chickens are fed like crazy and don't move around much, so they get big fast. Good chicken is high in protein and low in fat, but this high-density cheap shit is loaded with fat.

    I get all my eggs straight from a farm, for example. They aren't even the same colour as the 'free range' eggs from the supermarket, are much larger & taste far better.

    Salmon depends a lot on if they freeze it. I think the difference between fresh and badly frozen is bigger than the difference between farmed and wild.
    
    If it's frozen fast enough it can taste almost as good as fresh.
    
    The cheap stuff is all frozen and probably slowly frozen. You tell people you like salmon or trout and they wonder why because all they've tasted is the slow freeze crap that's basically as good as tofu.
