For some reason copper is fetching quite a price lately...so much that people have been breaking into others homes in NY to steal the copper pipe in their homes.
Yeah, I got like four foot-and-a-half long copper lightning rods off of an old house that was getting torn down and I figured Id stop by the scrap yard to get some money for a pepsi or something. The guy frikkan handed me almost 70 bucks
A new hospital built in my home town had tons of electrical wiring and phone lines stolen from the trunking in the basements to be sold for scrap. Pity they didn't get hurt doing it as they took out most of the operating and treatment rooms, the thieving pikey bastards.
