poor quality dog food, not letting him/her out to pee regularly. too much inbreeding for pure breeds....

It's more common in cats. Animals that are fed crappy diets or too much wet food can get crystallized formation in the urethra and bladder and it leads to this if it's not kept in check.

Claude, better get your winky checked out.

Isn't there a more professional method of getting it out than fingering the gall bladder? And they appeared to forget to put it back in.

    Still; poor pup.

I'd say it's a lucky pup to have a owner that would/could cough up the cash for the operation.

Haha, you must be wonderful in hospitals!

"You're so lucky they're taking the time to amputate your leg!"

But yeah, I get your point. Just would have been luckier not to get it in the first place, and poor pup either way.

There isn't any good reason why they would put back an inflamed gallbladder. They would have to tie off the cystic duct and artery to remove the thing and I doubt any surgeon would want to put that thing back in.

Anything doesn't need a gall bladder to survive.

      That's a bladder, not a gall bladder.

If they weren't intending to put it back, why would they empty it so carefully?
