With all this shit talk over who's jet is better than whose, its interesting that nobody has mentioned the F-22 Raptor. In practice dogfights, 1 F22 took out 5 F15s before the F15's even knew the F22 was in the area.

If you can, name one that can do so at 90 degrees vertical, then slowly revert back to level flight - while retaining the hover - and then just casually move on as if it were supposed to do that. Or how about a jet that can fly sideways? Or nose up - an dI don't mean the 45 degree in cline the F-16 can do, I mean vertical, but it's still moving paralell to the floor.
The f-16 is made by General Dynamics Corporation in Virginia NOT CHINA, why would we work on something and then basically give them the blueprints for it? Everything in our military is made in the USA except for a few things like guns from russia

Tyler_Durden What they don't tell you is that if you in an airplane you can tell if you have 1st a missle lock on and 2nd that there is a missle heading towards you. And in real life if a pilot dectects such he will try his/her hardest to avoid said missle. All they do for those simulations is say they have a lock and pretend to fire a missle, that's all as soon as they do that they say the target is taken out. It's kinda stupid the way they do it.
Oh and does anyone know about the great stealth technology in the f-117? Because in 1999 one was shot down in Serbia by an old, and I mean old, SAM site. The same sort of technology is going into the raptor. So it may be hard to detect with newer radar it's still easily detectible by old radar, and a lot of countries still use this on their SAM sites.
The F-117 is not completely invisible to radar old or new at all times. What occured in Serbia was thanks to a concerted effort by Serbian forces to knock one out which included building a picture of the plane's flightplan through numerous brief glimpses on various radars as to the plane's position not simply one old SAM getting a lock onto it. I imagine it would be difficult to replicate in a situation such as the opening hours of Desert Storm.
