MMA puts up the best fighters against one another, it's far more noble & without a doubt requires more skills than boxing TO BE A GREAT FIGHTER like Fedor, GSP etc...

this guy has his points. But I think the skill level (as in more or less) is pretty irrelevant. It's a different sport with different objectives. Give fedor a year to train for a boxing match and who knows what would happen. Just think you're biased in that boxing takes more patience and battle strategy, while mma is a free for all and thinking this is a trade of skill. And also, the better trained boxer doesn't always win, the underdog little bitch can catch him.. just like in mma.
I'd say the underdog catches a lucky punch or kick in MMA more so than in boxing just do to the lack of protection.
