  Put it in the freezer until it just begins to freeze. When you take it out and you bang it,it releases c02 thus changing pressure. A change in pressure means a change in temperature. Voila!!

  The pressure, volume, temperature law works only for gases, not liquids. The most probable explanation is based on the colligative property of liquids. Any solute in a liquid lowers the freezing point. For example, alcohol freezes at a much lower temperature than water. The anti-freeze in cars freezes at a much lower temperature than water because of glycol like compounds in the solution. I think in this case, the CO2 gas also helps to lower the freezing pt. of the solution. The entire solution (beer plus CO2) is below the freezing point of the beer itself, so when you tap the bottle (or you could just open the bottle and the same thing will happen - freeze over) to release the carbon dioxide, the freezing point of the solution changes to that of beer, which is higher than the current temperature. This causes the beer to freeze over.
