That may be so, but, and this is a big but, here is a little from Bush's speach on Increasing Minority Homeownership at The George Washington University Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002.

"You see, we want everybody in America to own their own home. That’s what we want. This is — an ownership society is a compassionate society."

"Two-thirds of all Americans own their homes, yet we have a problem here in America because few than half of the Hispanics and half the African Americans own the home. That’s a homeownership gap. It’s a — it’s a gap that we’ve got to work together to close for the good of our country, for the sake of a more hopeful future."

"I set an ambitious goal. It’s one that I believe we can achieve. It’s a clear goal, that by the end of this decade we’ll increase the number of minority homeowners by at least 5.5 million families."

"To open up the doors of homeownership there are some barriers, and I want to talk about four that need to be overcome. First, down payments. A lot of folks can’t make a down payment. They may be qualified. They may desire to buy a home, but they don’t have the money to make a down payment. I think if you were to talk to a lot of families that are desirous to have a home, they would tell you that the down payment is the hurdle that they can’t cross. And one way to address that is to have the federal government participate.

And so we’ve called upon Congress to set up what’s called the American Dream Down Payment Fund, which will provide financial grants to local governments to help first-time home buyers who qualify to make the down payment on their home."

What is these people do not/ can not keep up their mortgage payments?

      DUN DUN DUUUUUNN

THing you dont know however is,this freddie/fanny bullshit started before he was president.Started with Cliton. The guy who was head of freddie mac was in fact franklyn rames or whatever who made a huge amount of money during his tenor. So the upshot is,all in politics contributed in this mess in addition to to the god damn mexicans who bought houses and had ZERO earthly ability to make a payment once their 3-year ARM ballooned up to 7 % or whatever.
I was sitting back and wanting to buy a house,,but house prices were locally, about $550-600k for starter houses and i am just barely smart to realize that i could affor 3800-4000$ a month for a mortgage.

It can. Depends on standard deviation of the test. 15 points is generally what is used here. So 115 is one standard deviation above the mean, 130 is two. Only 2.3% of results will be at 129 or above.

I don't know what faggy shit they use in Britain. Probably they have a wider stdev so that people can feel smarter than Americans. Or stupider. Fucking tea-niggers.

The great thing of a free and capitolistic economy is that if u have a goal, and a good idea, u can make some money. Maybe, somehow, with a bunch of accounting tricks and the creation of a new bubble, we can add another level to the pyramid. And that buys us 3 - 7 years before this all happens again.

Hey, fact is he sounded fine before running for president. He sounds fine when interviewed in Ireland. He graduated from Yale and Harvard. His SAT score puts him in the top 3% of the population. His test scores in the military were excellent. He beat out countless people to get the republican nomination, and then won the presidency, twice. He has only lost one election in his life, to a guy who accused him of being a brainiac.

And thinking that this man isn't an idiot makes me paranoid?

So, I guess you've carefully reviewed all his speeches; pre-presidential and presidential, both foriegn and domestic, and counted all his speaking errors? Then, assuming presidential domestic had a significantly higher rate than the other two, you ruled out all other possibilities thereby not exactly proving, but at least lending a high degree of probability to your theory.

Oh, you didn't? So, what you are left with is a theory that probably seems attractive to trying-to-connect-the-dots conspiracy theory motherfuckers like yourself, but isn't based on any thing substantial.

    • El_Wanko
      El_Wanko 2009-01-02T16:50:55Z says:

Ok Hank, I guess you're right. Bush is a total moron who just happened to test very well. He slipped through the cracks at two Ivy League universities and no one noticed he was dumb as a brick. I bet it happened like in that movie "the man who knew too little" and a series of unlikely and lucky occurrences resulted in him becoming president in a hilarious fashion.

    • HankChinaski
      HankChinaski 2009-01-02T17:12:42Z says:

Well, just for starters, I haven't said anywhere in this thread if I think he is smart or dumb. I've only said that your theory sounds like like bullshit to me.

And this last little rant was yet another lame attempt to shore it up. It seems (correct me if I'm wrong) that you are implying "He is intelligent therefore his speaking errors must be intentional." However, one doesn't follow from the other. Being intelligent doesn't prove anything about the intentionality or lack thereof of his speaking errors.

Also, I guess you've seen all his test scores? You seem to know so much about his academic history.

    • El_Wanko
      El_Wanko 2009-01-02T17:57:35Z says:

His test scores are public knowledge and have been widely available since he ran. Sorry there's no fucking wiki link for you.

My theory is that his habit of appearing dumb as hell is an act for the cameras. You're the one who turned into something about him being a crazy mastermind.

Besides, if Bush always sounded like he sounds now, how would he have gotten the republican nomination? The rest of the party didn't notice anything was wrong so they just voted him in as their leader, trusted him with all their information, etc.? They're that stupid that they'd risk him doing something really dumb?

If they wanted someone to sound dumb, they could just get a smart guy in there and he could act dumb and it would be far safer for them.

Bush being dumb makes sense like a Televangelist being moral.

    • HankChinaski
      HankChinaski 2009-01-02T18:56:12Z says:

His test scores may be available to the public, they sure as fuck aren't public knowledge.

Yes, I know what your theory is. "They" are making Bush act dumb to trick everybody. Because, uh, dumb presidents are apparently preferential.

"Besides,...." Blah, blah, blah. Nothing of value here.
