Yeah but the problem is its unconventional reserves we have here. It takes a huge amount of energy to extract, but nevertheless yes we do have the second largest oil reserves. But all this to say that we still pay on average 30 cents more per liter here in montreal than in the fucking states!!! And we export most of our shit to the states!!! wtf is wrong with that system!?!

Agreed, Kojach. Unleaded here is $4.25 a gallon...projected to reach $6 by Labor Day. The problem for us in NY is the fact that the cost of literally EVERYTHING has gone up here, in such a short amount of time. And yes, a permanent campaign is happening.

I'm optimistic things won't get that bad, but $6 for a pack of cigs, $4 for a gallon of milk and $4.25 a gallon for gas isn't easy to afford for the majority of people in NY, most of whom make less than 10-11 dollars an hour, and have a family to support. I understand that the cost of living will forever continue to rise, but I really don't understand why it has to so rapidly.
