You know what is really funny, this is an ad for McAfee anti-virus. My Dell laptop came with a 50 day free trial of McAfee so I was like "wtf why not" Seriously McAfee is VERY annoying. It constantly asks you about retarded things like "do you want to be able to access the internet with this program" and it constantly jumps in your face when your trying to do something. It also blocks out programs even if you tell it not to. At one point, nothing in my browser would load (.gifs., links, pics. etc.) I didn't even know wtf was wrong until I uninstalled McAfee and the browser was fine. That's why I have always gone with Norton. It just does the fuckin' job and doesn't get in your way. Long story short MCAFEE FUCKIN' SUCKS!
So does Norton... use AVG.. I had over 40 viruses in my computer and norton didn't find anything but AVG took them all out. So, long story short NORTONS SUCKS TOO! .. lol
maybe you should think twice before ignoring its pleas for you to renew your subscription. Next thing you know, you fire up your machine and norton is ready to kill your computer and itself because you don't love him anymore.
Are you guys kidding? Norton is AWESOME! As soon as a virus even touches my computer Norton instantly notifies me and gets rid of it, I don't have to do anything. I also have the actually subscription. I've seen AVG, IT sucks balls, my friend uses that and this comp is always fuckin' up.
Norton has being going backwards for a few years now. Nice and glossy and when something doesn't stuff it up it integrates nicely. However updates are not as regular as other security software, it is increasingly missing things it is supposed to discover and fix and it is quite a resource hog relative how similar programs perform the same duties.
4 or 5 free programs which do the various tasks Norton software accomplishes better not only takes a load off your system but when you find a better solution to one aspect of your security setup you can simply replace that one program.
In that case you also have to wonder how you people get viruses so frequently.
Nortons Anti Virus software Is worthless.It eats up more of your memory and bandwidth just running itself with all the bull shit it installs on your computer without your knowledge and runs constantly.Even doing a clean uninstall of nortons doesnt get rid of it completely,To do that you'll have to spend a few hours removing file upon file that nortons leaves in your registry just to fuck with your computer and your head.And of course there creating viruses,Not alot but just enough to keep you buying that "Much needed upgrade" one a year.What a crock a shit!
Am I the only one who doesn't have these problems? My computer is CLEAN, and I am VERY VERY dirty... I agree it eats up memory, but if you have 512 ram and dual processors you hardly notice.

Even more now that i dont use nortons LOL.The reason i got rid of it to begin with was it kept crashing my computer,And Nortons told me that was because it had compatability issues with windows xp home.LMAO There own Techs are clueless.
I'm running the same and hell it just does it's job right alone with Tea Timer from Spybot, AWESOME combination in my experience... However, Norton and Mcafee did NOT like each other....

Only the ones that install themselves after your computer get's infected. AVG completely cleaned my whole computer.. I had trojan viruses from like 20 of those black command screens that popped up on my computer. My norton anti virus said there was nothing, but my computer was fucked. So.. in conclusion, use AVG anti virus.
