Perhaps surprisingly, quite a bit of GH technique translates to a real guitar. If this kid were to practice, there is no doubt that he could play a real guitar. The same sort of rhythm, precision and speed would all translate and obviously practice and dedication wouldn't be a problem for this kid if he were interested.
If his guitar had five frets and one string he'd be amazing....
