have you ever played american football? my guess is not because if you did you would relize that football pads don't stop all the impact. They have all that protection so they don't go to the hospital everytime there is a tackle. The people that play football are so big and strong that rugby is equal to football. Take a look at the list of concussions and injurys in the nfl.

I dont know much about Soccer or Rugby, but football is very physical contact sport. You risk paralasis(not sure if i spelled it right). @buddha2112, google Earl Campbell, he was a very physical running back, who could truck right over a person with no problem. Earl had to retire early because of his style of play. Now he lives a life of hell, he has to walk with cane and he has tempted suicide once because of the pain. So try not to dis a sport you have no knowledge of.
