    Was it a mobile? I couldn't see one. Most of these are from static electricity - he was walking on a dark (rubbery?) mat along the top of the truck.
    In a car the static comes when sliding out of the car seat and if you don't touch the steel door the next thing to discharge the spark could be the petrol spout
