geno2k3, I never said it's a big deal that Irwin got killed, in fact when I heard someone say he was dead my reaction was, "We couldn't be that lucky." I was actually laughing when I verified the story and told my wife what had happened.<br>

Fuz, I just can't agree with you. He wasn't just another bloke that died, he had risen to be a symbol for a lot of folks to look up to. He used his soul to try to open the human eye to the beauty of the world that we all live on, and must share. He ascended to a cultural symbol of Australia, and the world as any politician or president or military leader would - but he didn't do it with violence or deception. There aren't a lot of people to look up to these days. There never are. We lost a hero, in short.
