Makes you realize how precious the many animal species that live on this planet are. They need to be protected. So they can be pitted against each other, on television.
wow, was this from one of those old Disney animal documentaries from the 60's? I like how all those leopards (ok, female jaguar) are just sitting there watching them fight...
plus, I guess somebody was a little tired. Anyone notice this was listed as "Stick Figures"?
Wario....your post was word for word exactly what I was gonna post, (right down to the stick figure thing!)last night, but I guess if I had, you would of posted this one that I just did! Wierd...
It seemed a little weird to me. I grab up anacondas all the time and it is at least a two or three people job. When you grab them by yourself they throw a couple of coils around you and wrap you up real quick. next thing you know you are wrestling it on the ground yelling for help.
Victorious, if you know anything about the history of wildlife films and documentrys alot of early footage was set up and some still is dum dum, do you know how hard it is to film such a evasive shy and solitary animal like a jaguar is and especialy to get such good footage like that ?
Comments to Jaguar vs Anaconda

the only thing missing is stainless steel blades strapped to parts of their bodies
man i was waiting for that anaconda to wrap that bitch up. the anaconda has dropped a couple spots in my book.
that was a pussy ass anaconda...who gets owned by a jaguar like that?
This reminds me of when my cat would tear apart lizards.
THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDER CATS! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
That was pretty sweet. Old animal shows like that are much better than the shit thats on animal planet nowadays.
It would have been pretty damn offensive if those two cats started having sex on the snake's corpse. Yep. Mighty offensive indeed.
those crazy blacks. he killed him, then realized the snake's wallet was empty. bummer
LOL to Derabmumbo!
"Feel the power,Feel the roar, thunder cats are loose"
Pity it wasnt a real encounter and not set up, i reckon the anaconda was sedated or someone was holdong the head.
^yeah it was me who was holding the head, mr. "i know when an encounter between two dangerous predators is set up or not"!
interesting fight but I couldn't help noticing the music - what was that? Keystone Cops?
Anacondas ambush their prey at water holes giving them the element of surprise. If you pit the two together the outcome is obvious.
Snake - no arms or legs and thin needle like teeth for holding prey. Relies on only one strike to catch its food or its run away.
Versus
Jaguar - 18+ claws, large and numerous teeth, faster than a snake.
No contest.

a jaguar fought an anaconda. he won. they filmed it.
I still think it looks staged and the what sort of anaconda was that to not grab the panther, maybe it was a juvenile.
