Why do americans like to joke about the holocaust so much? (Im an american too) If i need to remind anyone out there, millons of famlies were ripped apart from each other, starved, and eventually killed through starvation and/or exhaustation. Thousands of little babies and people who were unfit to work were put to death because they were Jewish. How could this be funny to sane people? Maybe its because you havent lived through the experience of the holocaust that you think you can laugh and joke about jews being slaughtered by the thousands so fast they needed ovens just to get rid of them. I wonder if Americans would be so quickly to laugh at people who were burned alive in the WTC on 9/11. And please dont say "laughing at it makes it better" because I can guarantee these poor people were not laughing when their children and loved ones were taken away from thm and slaughtered.

No Mothh its nothing like it at all, we still lived on the land the English just owned it an drained its resources and made us peasants. Isreal never excisted till after the WWII when decided to start up their own country and make the Palestinains leave their land, by force too. After the Holocaust its like they were given a free pass to do as they please cos the world felt guilty for not doing anything while Hitler cleansed them. There's so much I can correct in your last reply that I don't know where to start. I will simply say this, Israel has existsed a lot longer than 58 years. It's mentioned in the Old Testament numerous times. Even if you don't believe in the Bible, the text is definitley older than 58 years ago. Israel has had a strong Jewish population since the begining or recorded history. Many Jews were expelled out of Israel under Roman control in 132 AD. It was at this time the Roman renamed the country to "Syria Palaestina" to remove ties to the Jewish people. The land was conquered from the Byzantine Empire in 638 AD during the initial Muslim conquests. In 1860 a movement was started to have Jews immigrate back to their home land. After Jews were expelled from Europe during WWII the 5th major wave of immigration took place. There have been Jewish people in the State of Isreal since the begining of recorded time. People were not "kicked out" to make room for the .005% of the world's population to live there.
