K-B, thanks for that. Johnny Cash is the only "country" music that I find not only tolerable, but very very worthwhile. The rest of the Country Music community and music collection should have been lost in hurricane Katrina though!!

Anyone got "Mercy Seat" by Johnny Cash? Was written and sung originally by Nick Cave. Would love to hear it. Even better so see it if it's a video clip.

That video is a disgrace to Johnny Cash's Legacy. How ironic that the opening quote of song is "He always identified with the poor and downtrodden" and then it cuts to a montage of ego-centric assholes who got their riches quick and easy. Yeah I'm really getting the somber "life's a bitch" feeling from these people who can wipe their asses with 100 dollar bills in their Beverley Hills mansion. Its basically a big PR stint so all these stars can publicize themselves as Cash fans (big deal, thats like saying you like the Beatles, no one cares) and sell the video by having big names in it. He would have never signed off on this shit.

Who has more to loose when it ends? Those people or the real people? Seriously how happy do you think they are when they are out of the glare of a spotlight?

a bunch of pretentious wank. got to say i like some of the "celebs" & their films/music, but there was no need for this.

Alas Hollywood always manages to become more cynical with every passing moment. Now celebrities feast on the carcasses of the fallen titans by claiming how they respected them as an artist and how they were inspired by their work.
