to play devils advocate kimo has come a long way in his fighting than what were used to seeing.. he had some knees and a good grapple. he could be good if he can work on his stamina and be a bit more patient so he dosent get choked out by a good grappler himself

Not only is Mercer WAY past his prime ( see Mercer vs. Morrison ). He's only a boxer. Kimbo had a good strategy, overwhelm and don't get hit. Cuz I'll bet Ray's still got some power.

I think Kimbo is Championship potential. He just need a few more bouts under his belt. He aggressive, and some punching power. I don't think he's ready for Rampage just yet.
Reason being. Kimbo is not versatile w/ his fighting style. He's basically a brawler. Only way to beat a fighter is to box him. Stick that jab, and make him miss. Gorge Foreman is probably one the hardest hitters in history. Ali, as we all know, out classed him by boxing him as opposed to fighting. Only only will a fighter has knock out power to beat Kimbo, he must be a technician in the ring to strategically destroy him. Rampage is a technician. Which is why Kimbo isn't ready for a championship bout just yet.
