    WAS sold off. The overwhelming majority of it anyway. In fact sold is a rather loose term in this case, as I recall Daimler actually paid a bit just to have almost all of it taken off its hands by Cerebus.
    
    Anyway I've always thought Chrysler far and away made the best muscle cars in the US and Australia during the 70s.

    I don't think the Cerbus deal is actually done yet. And yes, Daimler did pay to get rid of the Chrysler mess. Although, I think they should have held out a bit longer. Only time will tell though.

    Chrysler built some bad-ass cars in the 70's.

  Yeah that was Mark Webber at Le Mans in 99. He managed to do the exact same crash twice that weekend! Once in qualifying and this one during the warm-up session.
