its funny how the most simple things seemed so fantastic back before they could do anything they wanted on computer and now so many games lack originality, but Galaxy now that game is the best of old and new.
its because games now rely on the looks too much, just like a lot of new movies... also look at the size of games back then, the best games in the world would fit on a few floppy discs like xcom, one of the best turn based strategies ever made (still)... now you have games that are literally 15gig once you install them just for textures and shit, if the time and money spent on them were put into the actual game mechanics and story rather then just graphics and textures, you'd have a lot better games out there ;)
