    I watch a Discovery channel special on them and in it they did, in fact go in for surgery to be separated.
    They both died during surgery, of course they were warned beforehand that it was a very dangerous surgery and there was a good chance they wouldn't make it.
    
    What saddens me about the whole thing is that they could made a killing in fetish porn, but noooo they wanted to be selfish bitches and deny us of quality entertainment.
