I still don't get how watching this video will teach me how to make this shit.
high strength 95% everclear is the best and safest to use, but ive seen people use 90%-95% IPA rubbing alcohol from the pharmacy or even pure uncolored/unscented acetone(nail polish remover), but that ones just a little toxic. finely grind up your "herbs" and let them soak in the alcohol in a sealed jar for at least a day or two in a dark place, gently shaking the jar every couple hours. after a couple days, strain out the liquid into another jar and seal it, then go back and pour more alcohol on the herbs again. wait another day or two, strain again, and then repeat for a third time. the more you soak/resoak the herb, the more active chemical you will extract from the plant material. now youll have a jar full of alcohol with the active chemicals contained within. there will probably be a lot more liquid than seems needed and if used now it will be somewhat weak, so if theres more than an ounce or two of liquid(there will be, trust me), just let the jar with the liquid sit open for a few hours until the alcohol somewhat evaporates. this will make it more potent. after that, it should be okay to use. if you really want to make the best shit ever, you can mix some liquid butane in the alcohol mix which will break down the tannins that came out of the plant material, making it even stronger and less harmful.
personally, rather than just using the tincture itself, i would recommend redepositing the liquid on to another bud that has not been extracted and letting it dry. once its ready, youll have weed that is exponentially stronger than it was depending on the amount of material you extracted from. if you used 2 grams of bud to make the tincture and deposit the liquid onto a 1 gram bud, you would have a 3x strength bud and so on. be warned, anything past 5x will cause a large buildup of tannins which will make it a lot harder to smoke and a lot harsher on your lungs, but it will be the strongest one hitter quitter shit youve ever tried.
sounds like a lot of work, but its worth it whenever you can sell the stuff for $1000/oz
or you can go get some cigs, soak them in the liquid, and sell them for 50 bucks a pack.

or for a much more flavorful concoction, simmer the bud in some clarified butter--and drink that shit straight up. butter water is delicious.

using rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover would be a really bad idea, both are more than just a little toxic. besides what your describing is a overcomplicated hash oil recipe. a tincture is far easier, everclear + bud, 14g per 750ml should make a good mix, of course the more the better, and weaker weed may need more. You can even use stems and cuttings for about 1oz per 750ml. grind, mix, and let sit shaking a few times a day for about a week. filter though a few layers of cheese cloth and you've got "green dragon" get you drunk and high as hell. if you take your mix and reduce it on the stove (very carefully, ethanol=explosive) till its reduced by about half and you've got a tincture. you can cook all the alcohol off and make oil, but you want a little bit to keep the alkaloids in suspension
