No, it just gets written off and then they raise the prices of everything and the insurance premiums go up for the rest of us. Same thing for when illegals come over and have a kid. It's illegal to turn away a woman in labor so they get treatment and postnatal care and then walk away.

i know people who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on helping their kid because their health care wouldn't cover it all and are still spending even more money on it... its not really right that if you get a disease your family should be forced to pay it off for the rest of your and their lives in my opinion... its true if YOU can't pay the bill they will get someone to pay it, but that someone is not just the tax payers :P

tax payers pay the healthcare in places like canada and uk etc with 'free' healthcare, everyone gets it and everyone who pays taxes pays for it, even for the people who are too poor to pay taxes get the coverage... and thats how it should be. do i like paying taxes? no, do i pay them? yeah. would i get mad knowing someone who is homeless gets free treatment for drug addiction or something because of how the system is set up? hell no, people with money should help the people without money.

A friend of mine's husband works for the billing department at a hospital. He writes off around 1/4 million dollars every month.
some queer in sweden ,did go on a vacation in US without any insurance , then he got sick or something in the states. And they had in like a month or so in american hospitals then fly him home in some special plane. Then the dipshit got like over 200,000$ bill from hospitals+transportation.
in sweden healthcare is free. It sucks but its free.
