  On Mythbusters they were trying to split an arrow down the middle which you can't do without a special arrow. They had a guy on that episode who get hit an arrow with an arrow. Even my uncle could do it. It isn't that hard of a shot unless it from a super long distance.

  Shooting through your own arrow is not uncommon among professional archers when shooting groups (when using carbon or aluminum arrows), but it is signifigantly harder to shoot arrow on arrow consistantly (I dont think he expected to get that on the first shot, which is probably why he was soo excited)...and as for the rest of the vide, its pretty common for good archers to punch out the center of their targets at 30 yards, which in most cases is alot more difficult to do than what was shown in the vid.

  And yes, while the mythbusters did conduct tests and subsequently proved its relativly impossible to split a WOODEN arrow - given the arrow cutting through the other would initially follow the grain and change direction before it followed all the way through - it is however possible as long as your shooting at an arrow with a hollow shaft, like the ones in the vid.
