Here, I am stuck with Japanese beer. I go with Ebisu or Kirin ichiban shibori. Back home, I would usually go for a nice mug of Leinenkugal's Red, tap.

Well, it doesn't taste bad or anything, but Japanese beer pales in comparison to European or American beer. It's like America before the micro-brew boom. There are 4 big companies that make all the beer. Sake here is like beer back home. There are lots of small, local brewers, etc...

Sake is good, but today it's gonna be beer and cherry blossom viewing. 花よりビール！Speaking of that, at one cherry blossom party, maybe 5 years ago, I passed out and when I woke up everyone was gone and I only had one shoe on. I was totally disoriented and confused. It took me a long time to find my way out of the park.
About 10 years ago a club here in Houston used to have nickel ($.05) beer every wednesday. Usually Narural light or something equally awful. The room starts to spin every time i think about it..... oh god.
