My finger
This was my finger after I wrecked my bike. I went off the road into some bushes and trees, and I think I caught my finger on a sharp branch because it tore through my leather glove, and ripped my finger open to the bone and then some --- Pic of my finger a few days after surgery. The pin goes all the way down my finger, just about where the web between it and my middle finger is --- Most recent pic of my finger. Sorry for the shit quality, my phone's camera likes to not focus on anything close...Note the angle of the finger, I think it's like that because of how much tissue was missing. They were considering just amputating it when I was in the ER, I'm thinking they had to pull it over just to close it up. Pin should come out in another 2 weeks (edit from deja: sorry for the long desc, but i combined the 3 pics into 1 and all the descs)

The finger is bad ass. But that was it? Normally you don't fall off a bike and get just a finger fuckup, you get other bonus injuries.
I was wearing a leather jacket with armor in the shoulders and elbows, gauntlet leather gloves with armor on the knuckles, knee/shin guards, and boots. I got some ligament damage in my foot and some back pain, but that's it. Oh and the full face helmet kept my pretty little face intact, and made sure I didn't become a vegetable. Speaks volumes for "All The Gear, All The Time."
