S&W should have stuck to making revolvers. Although the 500 would be good if youre fighting the cops because it wouldnt even matter if the vest stopped a 300gr bullet at 2800fps.

I did have to search for part of the gun info I was thinking of, since I have some of the details scrambled in my head, but I do know that there is a nickel-plated variation of the Desert Eagle, which I think is a .45, ok, I just searched it again, and I'm off, but it is a cool looking gun. I do know that my Dad used to own a derringer, which either used .44 or .357...

shep: you are right about the revolvers,but I love S&W.It is like lee's or Levis pick one pair or the other.I am faithfull to S&W.Their customer service is excellent,and as I said before one bullet hole might be bigger or smaller then the next,but it does MORE then its job no matter what brand or cal.I do also own a 625-3 (revolver) compitition gun.

AltLocks, depending where you live a gun permit is extremely easy to get. It's extremely easy to pick up a long gun (rifle/shotgun). For instance, where I live you walk into the store, fill out some paperwork, answer some simple questions, the store will run your information though an online database and then sell you the gun. Takes about 30 minutes to become a rifle/shotgun gun owner.
