I'm fully aware of that. The auto union isn't moving too fast towards a compromise despite the public "we feel your pain too" sentiments. They aren't dumb but because they can't be sure of a future for their members they have to do their best to secure what they can now while the cash exists. And the cash in GM is plenty despite its woes and selling a huge stake in its financing arm simply added more cash the unions would love to get their hands on. Different stakeholders are squabbling over the cash and distracting GM from the overriding objective of getting back in shape.
