Jewish workers were used as slaves to supplement the German war machine. That's after they were robbed by their governments for everything they had. Whilst members of their family were being murdered. During that time their wealth was transferred to friendly, co-operative Swiss banks who then lied about the whole thing to keep hold of the money etc after the war had finished.
On the whole they didn't have a lot to complain about.

The main point that people always seem to miss is that it's not the distant past. After slavery was ended, government sponsered racist laws and social policy continued for a long time. Institionalized racism loudly promoted by elected officials in the "land of the free". The civil rights movement only ended 40 years ago. It's not people's ancestors. It's regular people living today or maybe their fathers that lived under those conditions. And when segregation ended in America, did all the racist sentiment that support that social institution die out right away? No, it continues on. The past continues on into the present.
Things do change with time, but it's very recent history, not ancient history.
That's the problem Hank, you're not thinking like the majority. The majority aren't racists but do racists things like cross the road when a black man is walking towards them at night. Is it racist when black people lead the categories of crime in rape and theft? It might be racist behavior but the statistics say that black man will commit a crime.
