  I've seen two different kinds of owls recently. One I saw while jogging at night (I had a small but powerful flashlight with me). It was an Ural Owl. And last week a guy at the waterbirds park here pointed out a small owl sleeping in a tree to me. It was maybe a Long-Eared Owl, but I'm not 100% on that.

    And almost every tribe-culture has seen owls as bringers of death. ANd they have a tendancy to try and kill their owners. And they eat your tootsiepop. Just assholes really.

  I know of some people that have picked them up off of limbs when they were sleeping so soundly they didn't notice, but I gotta be honest - I ain't that brave. I've seen an owl grab a dog and shred it, and watched them carry cats away. The talons are long and sharp and I'm too much of a pussy to test their patience.
