Im a little reserved about the controler on the wii though. Zelda looks very good there's 6 mins of gameplay on youtube.

What i like is the dev even siad they never cranked the Gamecube to the max. and all those games still owned. i have NEVER played any ps2 game that had a good replay value. all the Gamecube games i wanted to play over and over and over.
ps3 might have beter realistic graphics, but i think over all it WONT look better. hell, most of the game cube games look better than ps2. and just cause you have the power to show really good models does not mean a design studio has the ability to make them.

Well, Wii is certainly more "innovative" than the ps3.... Look at the price tag for the ps3. It's ridicoulous aint it?. And for those of you who think Nintendo's system's were made for kids, well you're wrong! I know everyone HAS played the Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games... And those games can be played from different ages, not JUST KIDS.

God damn...such controvercy. Wii is very different, creative, and will most likely be extremely entertaining. I'll admit to playing that GCN game Mario Sunshine and liking it. It was terribly gay but the gameplay was fun and that's half of a game, is it not?
I'm sure everybody remembers NES and Atari, graphics were shit but the games were terribly fun, plus it was the only thing out like it at the time pretty much. Wii will be unique and if you dumbasses learned to lighten up and not shun something that doesn't encorporate sex and violence in every game, you might have fun.

Excatly Ryoga, nintendo games are fun to play over and over, even the old ones. How many of you still play ps1 games? PS just looks pretty but are boring as shit after a while, plus they cost too much and you end up trading them in for another game you will clear in a day or two.

Wow, lots of controversy. Look at the overall demographics of nintendo customers and ps and xbox customers and you'll see that nintendo skews to a younger segment. Don't get me wrong, I grew up on nintendo and still like their games but the power and the abilities of the ps3 will make every techie buy one regardless of the price. $600 is nothing compared to a lot of shit us tech heads buy nowadays.
HD games!!! Blue Ray!!!! (HD games filling up an entire 50GB disc!!!) Might never happen but the potential is there and peopl will buy it because of the potential.

I said bar a few games dick head, GTA was the main reason i got a PS1 and then PS2 and it was worth it cos i played the thing non stop. Played fiffa for a long time too but other than that i just reanted tittles and cleared them.
The Wii will be cheaper have more games, an more effort is put into nintendo games to make them enjoyable again an again not like PS games which are made to look good over gameplay.
And not just a list of about 40 mario tittles from all the nintendos , zelda's, bomberman's and a shit load of new ones. And A shit load of differnt games to play, im sure i wont be heading to the rental store anytine soon after i buy wii.

buy a 360 and a wii for the price of one ps3. problem solved. you get the great hi def graphics and awesome games, and you get the new controller and the library of all those classic games.

My cousin had one i ust to always play soul caliber with him, was a brilliant game graphics too. The noise it made was cool. I remember him telling me they stopped making games for it. It was his third one there was something faulty with them i think, the warrnty or something ran out or the prosscer couldnt be fixed or something like that

thing is, nintendo has a much more solid business model, they build systems and games for pure profit, not to mention they have so much money earning interest from years ago that all of their future endeavors are actually already paid for, they don't have to care what ps3 does or xbox, they just come out with smaller ideas that sometimes are a little more on the fringe... they are trying to market to people who perhaps haven't played video games, grandparents playing with their kids kids etc, its just a different way of looking at the gaming market is all... ps3 and xbox are "GENERALLY" gearing for the 'hardcore 31337 kidz' who drink jolt cola and play fps games with slick graphics.. nothing wrong with that, ps3 is also using it as a leverage point for blueray since when it comes out its going to be around the same price as the cheapest blueray player... so you have a choice, buy a blueray player or buy a ps3 that has a blueray player...
yes you can get an xbox360 and wii for the same price as a ps3, so thats another option... i personally will be buying a wii as soon as it comes out, and a ps3 when the price drops a LOT... i don't play fps's and shit, nor do i care about *THE BEST* graphics possible, i come from old school gaming where the game itself was more important then flashy graphics... which is why i play with my nintendo ds and psp, id rather play hours of advance wars then play 30 min of a fps with a bunch of ADHD kids to be honest... thats just me tho, i like games that are 'different' sometimes they are crappy, sometimes they rock. right now i'm playing locoroco for psp and i think the game is ingenious... the graphics are amazing (no they arent lifelike they are 1 shade cartoon art) and the game itself is pretty cute... on my ds i want to get ouendan because it looks like a blast.
no reason to diss people for what game systems they play tho, if you have fun with the system you have then thats really all that matters :)
theres really no way for microsoft or sony to win out against nintendo in the game department, they can't understand that there are people out there who aren't rich who just want a nice fairly cheap and fun game system to play around with sometimes, the only other company that understood that kind of was with sega, unfortunately they decided to fold with a lot of pressure from microsoft i believe. dreamcast games to this day are still VERY fun to play.

Sega was essentially strangled from the outset. Despite having a technically superior machine in the 8 bit days and kicking arse in Japan, they were outbid for third party developers and outmarketed in the US. Then same again when it came to 16 bit. With Sony jumping in, it was basically game over despite the Dreamcast not being all that bad in comparison to Sony's offerings.
What's amazing to me is how Sega actually managed to last 4 generations as a console manufacturer given its position in the market. A testament to how good their games were considering they couldn't get many outside people to make any and proven by the fact they're still in the game development business.
Their second biggest mistake was probably trying to get too far ahead of the curve in the technology stakes. Some of the original innovations which I'm pretty sure were firsts in the industry included 3-D glasses, backwards compatibility, CD-ROM support when it was still a rare sight on PC's and even extending the capabilities through a module as opposed to a new chip on the cartridge (granted the results were akin to a 386 in its heyday).
I gave away my gamegear only a while ago, i should have kepted it, that was cool back in the day.

Kojach if you knew anything about GTA you would know that there where 3 GTAs that came out for PC about 5 years before they even thought about it on PS and i agree with all the people saying that PS sucks for replay value...i had a PS 1 for about 5 months and played it maybe 20 time before i had to sell that shit before i threw it away
