Puff The Magic DragonThis is a time delay photograph of an AC-47 gunship unloading it's 3 mini-guns on a night-time battle field around Saigon during Vietnam. Those red lines are tracer rounds. There are five bullets between each tracer. The soldiers called this gunship "Puff The Magic Dragon." You can probably see why.

actually the "Puff the Magic Dragon" moniker is describing the gun, not the whole aircraft. the plane was called Spooky.
Spooky was it's technical nickname. The troops called the ship Puff The Magic Dragon because of the above spectacle. The guns were 7.62 mm (0.30 in) General Electric GAU-2/M134 miniguns.
