neither do i, and i used to play the fucking game
botting... so basically he sets up all those accounts and uses a bot to level them to max level (probably takes a few days per account) then sells them for a couple hundred bucks each... so i count 68 copies of wow there... so i'm gunna go with about 2 characters a day hitting max level selling for a couple hundred bucks a day doing nothing but setting up accounts and selling them on various sites that people auction their characters off on......

not to mention there are sites that let you sell gold to now for real cash that they go around and re sell to people who buy gold... so he could make a shitload there just using his bots to farm i mean 68 accounts making 100 gold an hour each is 6800 gold an hour... right now according to ige.com (one of the bazillion gold sellers on the internet) you can buy 1000gold for 21$.... he in theory could easily make 6800gold every hour... soo..... 60+/hour doing nothing :/

How does it automatically level up without him actually playing or find gold for that matter?
there are scripts out there (like mods that run in the background) that do that for people, so they follow a preset path (since most monsters are in specific areas anyway in wow) and automatically cast certain spells etc then automatically goes and loots the thing... rinse/repeat
and kojach i didn't put that in the description because i don't do pictures...
if you want to see some of the scripts people use for this kind of thing there is a program called wow glider that is being sued by wow right now for doing this exact thing... the guy has made over 5 million dollars in the past year selling copies of it (according to him)

but some people actually level characters to 70 really fast and sell them and thats their only job
sometimes gold sellers work together like they may have a team that does raids together to make gold, i know that was big in ffxi for teams of goldsellers to level together and make money together

I watched a tv show on a company that paid underage kids to live in an apartment type building, watching a bunch of macros all day. They literally woke up, ate, watched the bots, made sure they met the virtual money quota and slept.
This whole concept is both fascinating, and sad in a funny way. Before I scrolled down to the comments I was gonna say "I don't get it" too. It's weird to me that people will spend real cash for money in a game. Props to the guy who wrote the bot program, and the guys who use it though, not going to work everyday would be sweet!

same thing in diablo2 there were bots program used to "treasure" for items , then there were auction sites you could buy the items. And some people i guess earn alot on it.
Project enotropia is worse a dude bought a spacestation for 1 000 000 PED which is 100,000$ . He put a space in a game and earned money on it, alot . The spacestation had nightclubs and approx. 1000 residents i think.
yeah some people make enough money in second life to not need real jobs they spend their time designing second life clothing and items to sell for whatever currency they use in it which equates to real money.... its completely fucked up but if people can do it they are pretty smart to take advantage of those people...

it made me start to play eve but when i found out it was point and click and not actually flying spaceships i was like fuck this
i tried eve free trial but i couldn't get into it... i didn't get past the tutorial (which is insanely long)... i mean if you like that type of game with like... strategy with spaceship it looks like it would be awesome... but i was expecting it to be a bit more like privateer or something..

That's this guys setup, he originally used 5 accounts and had all the keys mapped to the same keyboard, then he got over zealous and tried 40man MC by him self which failed, but this array is set up for him and his girlfriend to play 23 accounts each. As for glider, they've only made 2.9million dollars, the lawsuit is a joke and blizzard will lose against MDY like they did last time.
Curse no edit button - Also, i you are a botter you make more money selling gold then you do selling the account. Selling to a private buyer who is trust worth is a bitch to do, and these account buying sites will either rent your account from you or buy it and then get it banned and chargeback their money. The sites that do actually pay you give you $20 more than the cost of the game.

Actually, in the legal paper work blizzard had a nice little fuck up saying that items and currency in their game contain value, and by automation of 3rd party programs it fucks their economy and value of shit...
Pretty much all the MMROPG that Blizzard made were profitable. Like I've mentioned before, D2 made a lot of people a lot of money. I knew this guy who made ~12 grand a month. But he had people that he got items from who made even more.
