yah, i still watch a few moments of some out of morbid curiosity. they always end up making me feel real sorry for the 'beheadee'. dik, i also think of what must be going through their minds as someone starts slashing at their throat. seems to me like one of the most horrible ways to die. this one especially was one of the worst i've ever seen, maybe even worse than the one with the russian soldier in chechnya. the way the guy squeeked when he tried to avoid the knife, and how long it took to cut through it. i couldn't finish it. his friend was very lucky to get a bullet to the head. but on the other side, he did have to go through watching his friend getting beheaded..

You should read "On Killing" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman. I saw this at a book store and found the title intriguing. "The psychological cost of learning to kill in war and society" is the subtitle. Fascinating book about all of the factors involved in how military forces alter the natural aversion to offing others, and firsthand accounts of WWII and Vietnam vets experiences with actually taking a life. Not as glorious and heroic as usually portrayed. Awesome read and makes you think.

I watched this one the whole way through. I keep saying to myself that I won't watch another, but I do. Especially if someone tells me not to bother. It's a fear of missing something (education/experience/etc) that drives me to do it. Can't sleep when travelling for the same reason. Even when flying at night over the Atlantic, for God's sake.

Ok, actually I didn´t want to compare beheadings to porn. The only thing that I tried to say is that I`m always curious and that`s why the internet is such a great place. It shows all the stuff TV denies to show (or at least provides the best moments of the world`s TV). Everybody is free to watch what he (or she) likes and nobody has to approve of what he finds here. But to visit a page like MS and than complain about the content sorry but that`s what I really call "hypocritical". In fact the great thing about this site is that it shows a nice blend of boring, interesting, creepy,... stuff and it`s always even more entertaining to read all the silly, weird, sarcastsic, ironic, cynical, (hypocritical), smart-alecky, annoying,... comment battles. Well, that`s it...
No where in this small string of comments starting from Vic did anyone complain about this video being posted. We were simply discussing whether we watched it or not. Nice leap of logic there.
So either read a bit more carefully or reply closer to where people are complaining and I'll back you right up there.

i never told anyone to not watch it. i only started with one single comment on how bad i thought this vid was, compared to other beheadings, and that this was a good reminder why i don't like watching them.
