Only thing I could think of is a high caliber with the buffer and spring pulled out and replaced with something solid. I don't know if that's the case though.
im not sure if that the case.. if it was it would have separated their shoulder or broken the collarbone. but maybe that could be the case ...

No idea what they're shooting.. I've fired a .50 cal. bolt action rifle with no muzzle break or butt pad, and the recoil was not as bad as that depicted in the video..

its a .700 nitro express calibre rifle, i can remember seeing this about 2 years back on another site where they had info on the gun used.
what .50 cartridge did you fire roland? some are quite harsh others aint.
BMG.. kicks like a mule, but I imagine it could be fired while standing without dropping it. Aren't .700 nitros usually long barreled break-open elephant gun type rifles?
the original .700 rifle was break barrel yes, but its more or less a calibre you have a gun built for now, there is not much use for the calibre because of the recoil factor, and the the other nitro express calibres are much more efficent

My Mossberg 835 with a 3 1/2 slug kicks pretty hard, but nothing like that.
835s are where its at, cut mine down to 18 3/4 in, i love watching people shoot it for the first time or hiding a 3 1/4 in with some lighter rounds
